Hawai’i Island Bananas, leis, & Produce

Seaview Farms is a home-based micro-farm in Kalapana Seaview Estates, Hawaii. I sell from my home by appointment and most Saturdays at my home farm stand from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm (about 40 minutes from Hilo). Credit/Debit cards and ApplePay accepted.

Contact me to visit the farm.

I DO NOT SHIP PLANTS OR FRUIT! LOCAL SALE ONLY.

On a 1/2 acre, I am growing dozens of types of fruit trees, including over 100 varieties of bananasSee what else I grow! Check out the article I was interviewed for on BBC Future. I no longer sell banana plants except in rare cases. Some of my plants had bunchy top virus, and there is no way to know for certain that a plant isn’t infected. I will sell if you’ve already had infected plants or know your area has been impacted by bunchy top.

I also make leis with whatever flowers are in bloom on my property, with a focus on using blue jade flowers (usually January to June) and relatively rare and endangered native Hawaiian plants, such as awikiwiki, ohai, and red and orange hibiscus.

As a vegan with a focus on sustainability and being cruelty-free, my farm is solar powered and uses no animal products.

Some of my missions are to promote growing our own food, banana diversity, and saving severely endangered Hawaiian banana varieties known as Mai’a.
